BOYS WILL BE COWBOYS
There’s something happening across fashion, beauty, and culture — a quiet Western takeover. &Beauty has been keeping tabs, and it’s clear: country is cool again.
Cowboy boots are clacking down city sidewalks. Line dancing is taking over Brooklyn warehouses. Denim, fringe, and leather have stepped off the ranch and into the runway. What was once tucked away in Nashville bars and desert highways is now pulsing through the streets of New York, Paris, and L.A.
The new Western mood isn’t about clichés — it’s about attitude. It’s grit with polish, sweat with style. Think Shania and Faith Hill in their prime — but with a modern, gender-blurred twist. It’s confidence that doesn’t need to shout. It’s rugged, refined, and a little reckless.
At &Beauty, we like when fashion collides with feeling. And this season, there’s something magnetic about the cowboy — the way the boots hug the legs, the rawness of denim worn in just right, the effortless power in that simple gesture of tipping a hat.
THE URBAN VAQUERO: CHRISTOPHER BERLIN
To capture the spirit of this new wave, we tapped Christopher Berlin, &Beauty’s newest contributor — a creative force with a youthful eye and a curiosity that feels contagious.
Berlin represents the next generation of beauty and fashion — unafraid to blend vulnerability with strength, and always ready to explore what’s next. His vision of The Urban Vaquero isn’t just about clothes or image — it’s about freedom, identity, and the confidence to wear your story.
“The cowboy aesthetic has always been powerful,” he tells us. “It draws attention without trying too hard. Denim that hugs the body, leather boots that turn heads — it’s confidence, not costume.”
Berlin’s take on beauty feels lived-in — more dust than dazzle, more honesty than gloss. “At first glance it might look polished,” he says, “but every tear, every scratch, every wrinkle has a story. Hair’s the same way. Underneath the volume, there’s always a little chaos — that’s what makes it beautiful.”
His style is fueled by motion — both physical and emotional. “Travel inspires me,” he says. “It pushes my creativity forward. But nature brings me back to my roots — to where it all started.”
When it comes to masculinity, Berlin’s take feels refreshingly grounded:
“Being a man means being authentically yourself — no shame, no pretending. You handle your business, but you also know when to break down and reset.”
He pauses, then adds: “I feel most confident when I’m expressing myself and evoking emotion through what I wear. Style is language — and I’m always learning new words.”
THE NEW WEST
Berlin’s cowboy doesn’t ride horses — he rides subways, scrolls through playlists, and creates moodboards. His West is emotional, not geographical. It’s the freedom to be unfiltered.
And that’s the point. The Western revival isn’t about nostalgia — it’s about authenticity. A reminder that simplicity can be sensual, that confidence is quiet, and that a great pair of boots still has the power to change your whole mood.
So this week, &Beauty tips its hat to the new cowboys — the artists, the lovers, the dreamers with good hair and better stories.
Because no matter where you come from, or where you’re headed,
 boys will be cowboys.
